My client requires a Manager for a Technical Services department to manage and steer all EU after-sales activities.

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

Technical support:

  • Evaluation of new models with choice of benchmark competitor, technical preparation for PETD
  • Define Maintenance strategy and ensure information are deployed in our Dealer Networks
  • Analyse technical problems and drive Aftersales solution
  • Plan and coordinate Technical Service campaigns with the Global Headquarter, the NSCs and the parts departments
  • Ensure dealer infrastructure to diagnose and repair all models and technologies
  • Govern the Technical hotline structures in our NSCs and constantly improve processes from dealer up to global headquarter
  • Review distributors and dealers performance in Technical Service matters and gives advise

Warranty:

  • Follow and update European Warranty guidelines
  • Continue the continuous improvement of our competitive Warranty labour rate policy
  • Supervises execution and cost control of warranty activities, incl. Service and Recall campaigns
  • Coordinates WOR at Subsidiaries/Distributors for global headquarter based on Warranty guidelines
  • Cross Warranty information (CPU, Goodwill) with other relevant sectors as Training, CIS, parts purchase etc. to detect improvement areas for customer satisfaction and cost reduction. Define action plans with concerned entities.
  • Ensure delivery and storage of new cars compliant to Warranty guidelines
  • Define clear KPI to measure efficiency of activities and manage the team accordingly
  • Control department budget / Monitor financial progress of department



Your profile & skills:

  • Degree in technical engineering or Master in automotive technic
  • Experience in European Automotive Aftermarket
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in leading position in automotive Technical Service
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of Manufacturer / Distributor / Dealer processes and Aftersales environment
  • Leadership and negotiating experience with international background
  • Able to decide and to communicate necessary compromises
