Children's MH Practitioner - Work with Primary Care & CAMHS

Provide Clinical Support to Social Workers

A Local Authority based in London is seeking a Children's Primary Mental Health Practitioner to help provide Social Workers with Clinical Support for those cases which may involve service users who have a complex case. The Local Authority have adopted the Hackney Model so teams are broken down into Pods. As the Mental Health Practitioner you will be attached to one of the pods so that service users receive a more holistic package of care and you will also be the key interface between Primary Care professionals and CAMHS specialists.

As well as supporting Social Workers you will have the opportunity to work directly with children and their families as you will be carrying out assessments and providing evidence based interventions where necessary. Pods benefit from weekly supervision where cases are discussed and you will have the opportunity during these sessions to provide a clinical insight to cases.

The Local Authority uses Systemic Practice for which you will receive training on, however training is not only limited to this and you will have access to a training budget which you can use to attend courses run by universities and further your CPD

To be considered for you should have experience working within a Mental Health setting such as CAMHS.
