Based in the School of Mathematics, this is an exciting parttime, shared role to coordinate an interesting and important University project. The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a parttime Administration Manager to join the existing parttime Administration Manager, the role may be 0.5 fte. The initial contract is for 24 months on a renewal basis and would suit someone interested in a secondment. The Heilbronn Institute is a national mathematical research institute that opened in Bristol in October 2005 and the University is a partner supporting its activities.


You will provide professional and efficient administrative support to researchers associated with
the Heilbronn Institute while they are in the University. The position offers the opportunity to establish routines and working practices so that the Heilbronn Fellows working at the Institute are able to concentrate on their research with the minimum of disruption. The post holder will work closely with the Faculty of Science HR, Finance and IT teams to provide excellent customer service to the Heilbronn Fellows, visitors and all members of the Institute.


You will provide an outstanding level of service to researchers associated with the Heilbronn Institute while they are in the University. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience of working in a researchled environment, excellent organisational skills, a record of providing proactive and enthusiastic administrative support and experience in establishing new administrative structures. You must also maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality.
