Centre for Responsible Business Manager

Job Purpose

To co-ordinate and manage the activities of the Centre for Responsible Business. To manage the diverse functions required to sustain centre’s commitment to engaged leading-edge research and practice and the management of its day to day activities, which comprise of: stakeholder communication, staff co-ordination, event organisation, project management, the monitoring and managing of financial budgets and knowledge of exchange activities, and managing the centre’s web page.

Person Specification

Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

Experience:
• Managing a research Centre, including financial and budgetary management
• Staff management experience (an additional admin post will report to the postholder in due course)
• Executive support to senior colleagues including diary management
• Event management experience, including identifying venues, catering, and all other logistical needs
• Developing, revising and managing web pages

Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to establish effective working relationships with a range of people
• Demonstrate effective written communication skills
• Organisational and time management skills, demonstrating the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office skills including spreadsheets and databases and web page management)
• Excellent project management skills
• Networking skills

Qualifications:
• Educated to degree level
