Duties

  • Active research and publication in a research area of the Applied Mathematics Division, namely, computer vision and machine learning; fluid dynamics and modelling; numerical analysis and scientific computing; and applied discrete mathematics;
  • Contributing to advising and supervising postgraduate students;
  • Teaching Applied Mathematics;
  • Administrative roles on a rotational basis.


        
Job Requirements

  • MSc in Applied Mathematics;
  • A good academic record in undergraduate and postgraduate studies;
  • Demonstrated aptitude for research in a research area of the Applied Mathematics Division, namely, computer vision and machine learning; fluid dynamics and modelling; numerical analysis and scientific computing; and applied discrete mathematics;
  • Experience as a tutor or teaching assistant at tertiary level;
  • Good communication skills in English.


        
Recommendation

  • PhD, in progress, in Applied Mathematics;
  • Interaction with an international research group;
  • Teaching of Applied Mathematics for undergraduate programmes.
