Job Details
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide a one year fixed term maternity cover for the Head of Disability Services.
This is a key role providing a university-wide service to disabled applicants, students and staff supporting students. You will lead a team of experienced Disability Advisers, providing advice, guidance and information as well as case working. In addition, you will have a Support team and Administration and Reception team. These services facilitate study support and manage student data and funding.
You will be experienced in providing expert disability advice, including compliance with the relevant sections of the Equality Act 2010, and contributing to developments relating to a more inclusive university environment. Relationship building will be an important part of the role to understand the service, as well as it’s context within the wider university.
This is an exciting time to join as you will have the opportunity to contribute to developments within Disability Services and Student Services, as a result of current reviews of student support at the university.
