The School of Economics, Finance and Management is seeking an inspirational Chair and Deputy Head of School – School Education Director who will (i) provide leadership to ensure the School’s educational offerings (including units, programmes, educational partnerships, continuing professional development) is distinctive, innovative, high quality and internationally competitive, delivering an exceptional student experience; and (ii) work closely with and support the Head of School in leading and managing the academic business of the School in relation to both strategic and operational matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

• an international reputation based on an extensive track record of innovative research, having made a recognised contribution to a relevant discipline through outstanding teaching and professional activities
• a background in pedagogic excellence
• a willingness to engage in innovative teaching and learning development under the aegis of the initiative Bristol Futures
• clear expertise and experience in leadership and of working in either a school or department of economics, management, accounting and finance, or a business/management school.
