The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology caters to a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services for women with general obstetric and gynaecologic problems in a tertiary care hospital in Karachi, as well as in four secondary hospitals in Karachi and Hyderabad. It offers sub-specialty services in maternal-fetal medicine, urogynaecology, gynaecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology, subfertility, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries.

The Department has a strong academic portfolio including undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes. It is also actively involved in hospital-based as well as community-based research.

Responsibilities

You will provide dynamic leadership to the department and will have overall responsibility for the conduct of its academic, research and service mandate consistent with the mission and policies of AKU and AKUH, inclusive of its secondary hospitals and other outreach facilities incorporated within the Hospital.

Requirements

You must have suitable post-graduate medical qualifications with extensive academic track record of publications and securing grants preferably from extramural sources, along with clinical, administrative and leadership experience in a teaching hospital.
