One Predoc FPI is available to work at the Evolutionary Genomics Group (http://egg.umh.es) under the direction of Francisco Rodríguez-Valera in the Project VIREVO.
The project aims to understand the relationship between phages and bacteria in their natural habitats and their co-evolutionary processes by application of genomic, metagenomics and classical laboratory techniques. We offer a four year contract funded by MINECO.

REQUIREMENTS
1) Be in possession of a Spanish degree or homologated degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar  grade of 7.5. In the case of having a degree, you must have a master of at least 60 credits completed.
2) Have admission or enrollment in an official doctoral program 2017/2018.

This is a very active laboratory highly competitive at bioinformatic analysis in general, with a long and highly valued international status, a nice working environment (a beach resort, with Mediterranean climate and access to multiple leisure activities).

Candidates would require the proper degree (either MS) fluent English spoken and written and some basic computer skills. Background on viral research and microbiology in general would be valued.
