Job Details
The Department of Biomedicine Experimental Immunology research group at the University of Basel in Switzerland is looking for a Postdoctoral scientist for translational studies in human immunology. The Experimental Immunology research group has long lasting collaborations with clinicians and with academic partners worldwide (https://biomedizin.unibas.ch/nc/research/research-group-details/home/researchgroup/experimental-immunology/).
Your assignments
The candidate will be involved in studies of human T cells in tumours, chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. T cells from human samples will be investigated at single cell level (transcriptomics and flow cytometry), with emphasis on gene regulation, TCR gene repertoire and effector functions.
Your profile
A PhD in Immunology/Molecular Biology/Life Sciences is required. The successful candidate will have a proven experience in cellular immunology, multidimensional flow cytometry, and immunochemistry. Alternatively, proficiency in molecular biology, protein biochemistry and HPLC purification will be considered. Qualification requirements include relevant training in immunology, ability to work independently and as a team player with excellent communication and writing skills, outstanding record of scientific accomplishments with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
