The Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine is searching for a Neurocritical Care physician to join the faculty. Appointment will be in the Clinician Educator line at either the Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate or Clinical Professor level depending on qualifications and experience. The major criteria for appointment for Clinician Educators shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, and institutional service, appropriate to the programmatic needs the individual is expected to fulfill. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to interact across the wide range of clinical, translational and basic science programs offered at Stanford.

The Stanford Neurocritical Care Service offers the perks of an established academic program, working with residents and fellows, with ample opportunities for teaching and research, not to mention the opportunity to live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area. We offer cutting-edge imaging, neuromonitoring, endovascular interventions and neurosurgical collaboration. We are a leader in neurocritical care research and participate in many stroke and neurocritical care local investigator-initiated and multi-center research studies.

The appointee will join an established neurocritical care group of five neurointensivists.  Candidates should have fellowship training in critical care neurology or UCNS neurocritical care certification, should be eligible for a California medical license, and should be board certified or eligible in their field of training. All candidates must have suitable clinical and teaching experience.
