Research Associate specialised in the analysis of organic compounds

Job Details

We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Organic Geochemistry Unit, based in the School of Chemistry at the University of Bristol under a NERC funded research programme to investigate the nature and timing of the earliest human occupation of North America.

The work will involve a novel integration of biogeochemistry (University of Bristol) and micromorphology (Newcastle University). The successful candidates should have a PhD in a strongly analytical chemistry based subject. Furthermore, given the nature of the analytical programme experience in the wet chemical isolation of lipids and the operation and maintenance of hyphenated mass spectrometric techniques is highly desirable.

This role is offered to the successful candidate as open-ended with fixed funding until 31st July 2019.

For further information, please see the job description. For informal enquires please contact: Ian Bull – Ian.D.Bull@bristol.ac.uk.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture.  We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
