The University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a number of fixed-term Teaching Associates/ Senior Teaching Associates in Accounting and/or Finance from 1 September 2017 to 30 September 2018 on a full time or part time basis (ranging between 0.4 and 1.0 FTE by negotiation).

The Department of Accounting and Finance is an integral part of the University of Bristol School of Economics, Finance and Management. We are seeking outstanding educators in response to a growing demand for our thriving programmes in accounting and finance. The department provides large and small group teaching across a range of subjects, including corporate finance, financial accounting, financial markets and management accounting.

An ability to offer research-led teaching and contribute to existing units in accounting and finance is essential for this post, as is the ability to assist with dissertation supervision and exam marking and assessment. The successful candidate will also support the Department and School in the development of innovative teaching methods and materials and the dissemination of good teaching practice. Candidates will also make an appropriate administrative contribution to the life of the School (e.g. as an academic tutor).

The successful candidate should have experience of teaching accounting and finance at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, though relevant professional experience is desirable for this post.
It is anticipated that interviews will be held in late June, 2017.

Applications must be made using the University of Bristol’s on-line application system. The closing date is 5 June, 2017. Please state clearly in your supporting statement if you wish to be considered for a part time role. Informal enquiries should be directed to Head of Department of Accounting and Finance, Professor Mark Clatworthy, at mark.clatworthy@bristol.ac.uk.

The University is committed to creating and sustaining a fully inclusive culture.  We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and communities.
