We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable scientist to work as an integral part of our Boston Discovery Chemistry Purification Group. This hands-on laboratory role is responsible for the high-throughput purification of small molecule drug candidates, trouble-shooting and repairing chromatographic instrumentation and preforming purity analyses for biological assay submission. The candidate must demonstrate integrity and customer focus, strong collaborative and organizational skills, and flexibility and time management to support medicinal chemistry project needs.
Qualifications
Education:
- BS with minimum of 2 years relevant experience in preparative chromatography and analytical chromatographic method development or MS degree in chemistry, biology or related field
Required:
- Broad understanding of analytical and organic chemistry concepts
- Experience with setup and repair of analytical and preparative HPLC instrumentation
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience operating automated balances, liquid handling systems, centrifugal evaporators
- Knowledge/experience in mass spectrometry and LCMS data interpretation
