We are a community of engineers seeking an individual with experience in the delivery of a wide range of capital and expense projects, with an initial focus on research facilities. Candidate should have a practical understanding of scope development and design, construction, commissioning and qualification. Individual will initially be part of a team assigned to execute a large capital project, but may be expected in the future to work independently to manage a series of smaller projects within a portfolio in the manufacturing, laboratory and infrastructure lines of business in the future.

Experience in managing an integrated project team to deliver critical assets on time and within a prescribed budget is preferred. The candidate must have proficient oral and written communication skills along with the ability to deliver project status and funding presentations in a concise, effective and organized manner. Other capabilities should include outstanding decision-making skills and strengths in change management and team alignment.

Individual shall have the ability to collaborate well in a team environment that is sensitive to the needs of the business. They should strive to develop good relationships with cross-functional areas consisting of all aspects of the business including Research, Operations, Quality, Technology, Maintenance, and Safety.

Applicant should demonstrate project management excellence to lead the development of project execution plans and to verify that project scopes are an effective business solution. Other capabilities include providing management of design, development and implementation of suitable procurement strategies, understanding and management of project cost budgeting and control, schedule development and control, change management, risk management planning, monitoring and control, construction management, communications management, information distribution and reporting, commissioning, qualification, contract administration and project close-out. Specific experience in Biology and Chemistry laboratory capital projects is desired.

At the completion of this project, this position may require the candidate to be available to travel or relocate in order to support projects within the Americas and possibly internationally locations depending on need.

Qualifications

Education:

- BS Engineering

Required Experience:

- 7 years’ experience, including project execution

Preferred:

- Experience in Lean Project Delivery Methodologies (i.e. target value design, off-site fabrication, pull planning scheduling tools) considered a plus.
