We are seeking a Finance Assistant to provide financial and management accounting administration support, including advice, analysis and provision of financial and management information systems to a high degree of accuracy.

The role

A typical day in the life of a Finance Assistant involves:

  • Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including managing invoices and purchase orders, following up collection accounts and vendor maintenance
  • Processing, coding and reconciling P-Card expenditures
  • Reporting on financial transactions and commitments, and assisting with the preparation of financial analyses, budgets and accruals

Who are we looking for?

  • We’re looking for a customer service natural – someone with superb interpersonal skills and the communication skills to match, as you will be a regular point of contact for our stakeholders.
  • Accounting experience within a large, complex organisation is essential, whilst experience in either the public or tertiary sectors is a bonus.
  • You’ll also need to be experienced in the use of ERP systems – familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials is a distinct advantage.
