The Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN) is a unit of the Faculty of Medicine’s Centre for Kidney Disease Research at the University of Queensland, and is located at the Princess Alexandra Hospital campus, Woolloongabba. The AKTN was developed to deliver high quality clinical trials to improve the health and wellbeing of people with kidney disease. This collaborative research group engages with consumers of research, nephrologists, renal and research nurses, epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and other allied health professionals to design, conduct and support clinical trials focussed on improving outcomes for people living with kidney disease.

The role

The Clinical Trial Assistant (CTA) is responsible for supporting the clinical project team in daily study activities and clinical trial conduct by providing administration and project tracking support.

The person

Applicants should possess qualifications or equivalent training and experience in business administration, science, health or related field. You should also have demonstrated knowledge of clinical study processes, a high level of written and oral communication skills, and the ability to multi-task with significant attention to detail.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207.07 – $79,964.50 plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $86,822.27 - $93,558.46)
