Reporting to the First Year Transition Coordinator, this role supports first year transition initiatives such as the UniGuides Programme as well as coordinating and supervising a large student casual workforce throughout the year.
Person Specification
You will be proactive in recruiting and selecting students for both paid and voluntary positions, and ensuring they have the right level of training and support to allow them to be successful. Success will be measured through your ability to have the right people in the right positions delivering good quality results.
If you are an adaptable and enthusiastic team player looking for a challenging role through which to demonstrate your exceptional problem-solving & planning skills, initiative, and ability to work in a vibrant and fast-paced team environment, then this could be the job for you!
- You will be tertiary-qualified, with experience designing and delivering training as well as managing large groups of casual staff and volunteer groups.
- Experience in a tertiary organisation will be highly regarded.
- A high level of competence in Microsoft Office is required for this position.
- Candidates with highly developed written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management and relationship management skills complete the checklist.
- Additionally you must demonstrate empathy with, and knowledge of, the student life cycle.
- You will be known as a person with excellent interpersonal skills, who exhibits sound judgement and integrity.
