The University of Southampton is looking to recruit a professional Executive Assistant in the Vice-Chancellor's Office.

As the Executive Assistant to one of the Vice-Chancellor's Executives, you will provide comprehensive strategic and logistical support, including all relevant office administration systems and procedures, maintaining a high professional standard at all times. You will be the first point of contact for all your Executive's internal and external visitors, many of whom are high profile.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive management of the diary and budget of your Executive

• Drafting of letters, minutes and reports

• Analysing and interpreting information to produce appropriate briefings for your Executive

• Project and event management, including booking of travel, catering, venues, etc.

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience of working in a similarly demanding executive assistant role.  This role will require you to be a highly organised professional with outstanding communication skills, impressive personal initiative and high levels of resilience and energy, which enable you to successfully work in an extremely fast-paced environment.

You must be able to evidence:

• High numeracy and literacy skills

• Strong written and verbal skills

• Excellent attention to detail, reliability and strong time management skills
