The School of Architecture and Built Environment is one of four schools in the Faculty of the Professions. The school offers professionally accredited and internationally recognised programs that specialise in architecture and landscape architecture with significant urban design content. It is a diverse and stimulating working environment, and the school is located at the University's picturesque North Terrace campus.
As Head of School, you will play a key role in representing the School within the Faculty, the University and with key external stakeholders. You will have a successful track record managing financial, staff and administrative affairs in a complex educational and research environment. A distinguished internationally recognised research record and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence will also be expected.
Outstanding scholars from any field of architecture, landscape architecture or urban design are encouraged to apply, although preference will be given to those with a strong record in design who can also provide strategic leadership.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Position requirements
To be successful you should have:

A PhD or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the School’s areas of strength and preferably in the area of architecture, landscape architecture or urban design.

An internationally recognised research record in a discipline relevant to the School.

A strong, demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching with excellent teaching evaluations.
