Description

The US Oncology Medical Affairs Strategy Leader (MASL) for Biomarker Diagnostics holds primary responsibility for the development and execution of regional Oncology Medical Affairs strategies and plans for biomarkers in the US across oncology indications. The US Oncology MASL for Biomarker Diagnostics provides biomarker and companion diagnostics scientific and medical expertise to the US Medical and US Marketing organizations.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

- Executes US Medical Affairs strategy for biomarkers & companion diagnostics
- Drives creation and facilitation of training materials for the Oncology Medical Affairs team through the appropriate review systems. Serves as medical approver of these materials.
- Designs, updates and gives training both internally and externally, helps oversee pathologist training
- Coordinates, presents at and attends Advisory boards and other meetings with Scientific Leaders
- Conducts individual Scientific Leader and Pathologist interactions using approved input-seeking plans
- Helps with planning of various aligned activities around major oncology congresses
- Supports commercial group for Launch Preparation and Post-launch activities
- Serves as a member on Companion Diagnostic sub-teams
- Manages internal stakeholders’ expectations with timely updates
- Interacts with internal stakeholders for needs assessment and planning
- Leads strategy and interactions with advocacy groups
- Tracks guidelines and regulatory landscape for Diagnostic testing in their region
- Review of Investigator Initiated Studies

Qualifications

Education:

- PhD OR MD, PhD with specialization in Life Sciences e.g. Pathology, Molecular Biology, Genomics or Oncology

Required

- Minimum five years of experience at a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or diagnostics company in the area of biomarkers or diagnostics
- Minimum five years of experience working in cross functional matrix teams
- Experience and confidence in working with diverse teams and functions
- Strong ability to effectively collaborate with and influence partners within and across divisions
- Proven ability to collaborate with others and to resolve conflicts
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
- Results driven

Preferred:

- Experience with Oncology Clinical Biomarker Development, Companion diagnostic development and commercialization or Anatomic and Molecular Pathology
