Accommodation Services provides a safe and supportive residential study environment for nearly 3,000 students. 

Accommodation Services is seeking a capable Building Manager to join our team.   

Reporting to the Area Manager (Facilities & Operations), the Building Manager will have responsibility for managing the maintenance and upkeep of student accommodation properties. 

The successful candidate will have:

  •  Experience in maintenance and plant infrastructures
  •  An understanding of current building trades at an intermediate level or higher
  •  The ability to use hand and power tools competently and in compliance with the Health & Safety Act (OSH)
  •  The ability to carry out routine administrative tasks utilizing computer software and programmes
  •  Initiative and personal responsibility
  •  Problem solving skills
  •  Team leadership experience
  •  Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  •  Ability to liaise with professional and trades personnel
  •  A current, full NZ drivers licence
  •  Ability to obtain First Aid certification

Ideal candidates will have:

  •  An advanced level of trades knowledge and competency
  •  Proven management experience
  •  Project management skills
