Research Fellow - Creating Learning Environments in Compassionate Care

You will join our mixed methods intervention study evaluating compassionate care in hospital settings, and supporting other associated projects. Creating Learning Environments in Compassionate Care (CLECC) is a workplace educational intervention focused on developing sustainable leadership and work-team practices theorised to support the delivery of compassionate care. The main study this post will support is a feasibility study focused on (1) implementing CLECC with nursing teams in acute hospital settings; and (2) conducting a cluster randomised trial with associated process and economic evaluations to measure and explain the effectiveness of CLECC in improving compassionate care. 

To be successful, you will need experience in quantitative and qualitative methods, and in working with older people with complex health needs. This is a fixed term contract for 14 months from September 1st 2017, due to funding requirements.   

Applications will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon completion of PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
