The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences' programs in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology and Audiology have been offered at the University of Queensland since 1938, 1955 and 1962 respectively, with the four professions united into a School in 1994. We welcome around 500 new students each year into our undergraduate and postgraduate offerings. Our students benefit from a longstanding tradition of excellence in teaching and research and a focus on scientific endeavours and high quality outcomes.

The role

The core purpose of this role is to manage, coordinate, report, and liaise on matters pertaining to the provision of quality clinical education experiences for final year physiotherapy students enrolled in a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Graduate Entry Masters in Physiotherapy programs. You will provide training and onsite and remote support to clinical educators. In addition the appointee will participate within an interprofessional team to advance the School’s clinical education initiatives. The role requires leadership capacity and efficient and high-level administrative and interpersonal skills.

The person

Applicants should possess a degree in Physiotherapy with relevant postgraduate qualifications relating to education, management, or leadership, or progression towards postgraduate qualifications. You should also have demonstrated experience and knowledge of clinical education methods for facilitating clinical learning and an understanding of the principles governing adult learning. Excellent computing, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills are necessary. Applicants are required to hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be eligible to obtain registration.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,811 - $104,214 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $108,589- $121,930 p.a.).
