The opportunity
The team at the Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library and Epsom Information Commons is seeking a Libraries and Learning Services Assistant (fixed term).
This is a varied role that will include answering queries at our service points, assisting with collection management, supporting our generic teaching programme and assisting desk assistants on your evening shifts.
To deliver on providing excellent experience in an academic library, we’re looking for somebody with the following traits and experience:

You will need to be flexible, quick to learn, well-organised and a good communicator.

You must be adept at using common information technology applications, and have an ability to learn new systems quickly.
The position is full-time (37.5 hours), Monday to Friday, for a fixed term until 21st December 2017. Please note the shift requirements below – these change in December as the Library moves to summer hours:
Academic Year shifts (February-November):
Mondays 7.45am-3.45pm
Tuesdays 7.45am-3.45pm
Wednesdays 12.00-8.00pm
Thursdays 7.45am-3.45pm
Fridays 7.45am-3.45pm
Summer Vacation shifts (December):
Mondays 7.45am-3.45pm
Tuesdays 7.45am-3.45pm
Wednesdays 10.00am-6.00pm
Thursdays 7.45am-3.45pm
Fridays 7.45am-3.45pm
