Senior Geotechnical Consultant - EIA Expert

About the role

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Consultant to be based in our Manchester office.

The Sites Solutions team are looking to match their market expansion and you will be one of the key players in a thriving engineering environment. From early desk studies to remediation, you will be involved in every stage of project delivery.

As part of the Sites Solutions team the successful applicant will be expected to take a key technical role on a wide range of diverse and interesting geotechnical projects. The focus will be on residential areas and the relation to real estate transactions. It will involve frequent trips across the UK and potentially abroad, leading you to meet new challenges and environments.

The team

The Environment and Health department includes Acoustics; Compliance, Strategy and Transactions; Impact Assessment; New Initiatives and Sustainability; Product Safety and Stewardship; Site Solutions; and Water. You will join over 2.000 members in the department (250 in the UK) and more than 13.000 across the whole group, giving you fantastic opportunities for career growth.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

• A sound understanding of all relevant legislation
• First-hand experience of site investigation techniques
• A track record of planning and managing Phase II investigations and follow on remedial works
• Knowledge of Contaminated Land solutions and the relationship to Real Estate transactions.
