Tenure-Track Non-Clinical Assistant Professor in Behavioural Sciences in the School of Public Health

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Non-Clinical Assistant Professor in Behavioural Sciences in the School of Public Health, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second fixed-term contract.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or its equivalent in psychology, with specialty in health risk perception, cognition and change, and/or health risk-related behaviour. They are expected to have a track record of high-quality impactful research in the field of health risk perception as indicated by publication record and external grants, with a strong background in health or clinical psychology. The appointee is expected to contribute to the established strengths of the School in developing and advancing research programmes on health-related risk perception and behaviour. He/She will also play a key role in leading the development of academic scholarship and teaching programmes of the School and in contributing to the enhancement and development of medical and health science courses in the Faculty. A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
