Events Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Event Manager to join the Commercial Services Team at the University of Auckland, and enhance the profile and reputation of the University through the delivery of both academic conferences and student events held on campus.

You will have day-to-day responsibility for 1-2 direct reports; ensuring successful delivery of a varied portfolio of events - from 2,000 pax concerts to 800 pax conferences and everything in-between. Reporting to the Event Services Manager, you will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated, innovative and proactive individuals who are pushing boundaries and continually up-skilling in order to keep pace with the fast-evolving events industry.

We are looking for a highly motivated, upbeat, over-achiever - with excellent customer relationship management and leadership skills.  You will be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining your sense of humour and professional approach.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role is required and a qualification in Events is preferred. You must have experience in all aspects of conference management. Ideally you will have experience with EventsPro or EventsAir Software, and be social media savvy.
