Associate or Full Professor (Ladder, Ladder/In Residence) Ultrashort TE and Musculoskeletal MRI

The Department of Radiology at UC San Diego (http://radiology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department is seeking to recruit a senior-level professor to lead research in the development of Ultrashort TE (UTE) and musculoskeletal (MSK) MR imaging methodology. We are seeking an innovative and creative scientist who will work in a collaborative environment with other MRI basic scientists as well as clinical researchers to span the range from basic technical development to translational applications.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in a biomedical imaging related field, have a strong track record of publication in internationally recognized journals, and a demonstrated commitment to university service and teaching. Candidate with expertise in pulse sequence development in this area, as well as in the application of specialized pulse sequences to clinical problems in MSK imaging is required.

The ideal candidate will have an active extramurally funded program of research that focuses on technical and translational development in the UTE/MSK area.

Appointment will be at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Series will include 100% Ladder Rank or 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
