Duties and responsibilities:

  • Compile agendas, record minutes, type and compile correspondence.

  • Record and distribute decisions and resolutions of meetings.

  • Keep record of and file documents and minutes.

  • Compile a meeting calendar for all meetings in the Faculty annually.

  • Deal with the total administration of committee elections – main elections every three years and bi-elections as necessary.

  • Deal with all enquiries with regard to the committees/meetings/decisions/approval processes.

  • General office administration.

Inherent requirements:

  • A relevant B-degree or diploma.

  • Two (2) to three (3) years relevant experience.

  • Previous experience of meeting management

Required competencies:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s parallel-medium and richly diverse working environment.

  • Above average computer skills in MS Office and typing skills.

  • Language capability in English and Afrikaans.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Ability to work under pressure.
