The School of Biological Sciences is seeking a 0.6 FTE term time only Teaching Laboratory Technician to join our team of technicians in the state of the art Life Sciences Building teaching facilities.
You must be a self-motivated, competent, independent and highly organised person, with the ability to provide a consistently high level of service to the teaching facilities within the school. Excellent all-round technical skills are essential to enable you to solve the varied challenges that a teaching lab provide whilst remaining focused. A sound biological knowledge and good communication skills are also desired in order for you to be able to provide clear direction to students as well as being able to liaise with academic staff regarding their teaching requirements.
Work pattern will be full time during the main period of teaching (circa 27 weeks) – but there will be a few weeks outside of this time that can be negotiable with the successful candidate.
The Life Sciences Building is now in its third year of operation with exceptional facilities and equipment making it an exciting and innovative environment in which to work.
