Applications Development Manager-Big Development Pipeline-Köln
My client are a highly successful family-owned company in the field of Printing Inks who operate on a global basis. With their headquarters in the Nordrhein-Westfalen region of Germany and a further 65 sites worldwide they are well known in the European market for producing high-quality printing inks for industrial applications. As part of their expansion in Europe they are currently looking for a new Applications Development Manager to join their team.
The company pride themselves on having a huge product development pipeline with the resources to back this up internally. You will be helping to manage this pipeline from a technical & operational perspective and will have responsibility for all customer-focused development projects across the EMEA region. Your role will including on-site technical customer support, managing formulations development and leading an Applications Development team of 10-15 people, so you can oversee technical business development from all aspects.

- Functional and direct management management of a team of 10-15 people
- Managing all applications development projects in Koln
- Regular travel (30-50%) to customers to develop key accounts and provide technical support
- Assessing formulations on-paper and guiding 2-3 lab technicians in formulations development
- Providing feedback to management on product development strategy and customer-demand changes
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemistry
- 8-10 years experience in applications development of printing inks
- Knowledge of flexographic printing processes preferred but not essential
- Proven line/direct management experience of at least 3-5 people
- Fluent German & Russian languages
