Software Engineer in Test

Summary The Software Development Test Engineer is part of the software development team responsible for creating and maintaining the software that drives PerkinElmer’s laboratory automation solutions. The ideal candidate would have an interest in Life Sciences, and be well versed in good software engineering practices using Microsoft and other third party tools. The incumbent is expected to not only be a strong individual contributor, but also be able to comfortably work as part of a multi-national team. Responsibilities:

• Work in a cross functionalteam from initial design to delivery to develop quality assurance and test plans for product releases
• Work through all testing manually and be able to augment test cases
• Write and track Bug Reports as problems are found and corrected
• Develop testing plans and test cases for multiple products and projects
• Execute testing strategies, plans and test cases for multiple products and projects
• Build advanced automated test suites to exercise our applications.
• Work with the development and test engineering teams to automate testing.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies
• Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action
• Perform QA reporting for product release process
