We are seeking an experienced and motivated Professional Teaching Fellow to join a new initiative named Genomics Into Medicine. The goal of this initiative is to increase the use and knowledge of genomic technologies in medical research and practice.

The successful applicant will work with senior genomics researchers and clinicians to organise and deliver a range of genomics and bioinformatics educational programs for clinicians, scientists, students and the public. They will also provide overall project management to the Genomics into Medicine initiative. This will require the planning and management of outreach activities and international symposia, as well as helping administer clinical multi-disciplinary meetings and small genomics research funding schemes. Therefore, we envisage the successful candidate will have a breadth of experience that allows them to take responsibility for a broad range of activities in the exciting and rapidly expanding field of human genomics.

Who’re we looking for?

  • The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher tertiary qualification.
  • They will have educational experience and relevant experience in genomics, bioinformatics or clinical laboratory science.
  • They will also require excellent communication, relationship building and project management skills.

This is a 3 year fixed term positon at 0.7FTE (28hrs per week).
