The Faculty of Science at the University of Auckland is the largest and most highly ranked science faculty in New Zealand. The School of Environment at the University of Auckland is looking to appoint a Professional Teaching Fellow in GIScience who is simultaneously interested in PhD study under the supervision of Dr. Agnieszka Leszczynski. Applications are welcomed from candidates with research interests in any of the societal dimensions of spatial big data, algorithms, geolocation, and/or GIScience writ broadly. A strong GIScience skillset (spatial data handling, GIS analysis and platforms, digital mapping, and web-based GIS) is required. A Masters degree is required, as is a demonstrated track record of tutoring (TAing) and/or teaching in GIScience.
