Accommodation Services is seeking an experienced and capable Maintenance Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Building Manager, the Maintenance Officer will have responsibility for assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of student accommodation properties.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A current, full NZ drivers licence
  • Experience as a general “handyman”
  • An understanding of current building trades at an intermediate level
  • The ability to use common hand and power tools competently and in compliance with the Health & Safety Act (OSH)
  • The ability to carry out routine administrative tasks utilizing computer software and programmes
  • Initiative and personal responsibility
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to obtain First Aid certification

Ideal candidates will have:

  • An advanced level of trades knowledge and competency
  • Proven buildings maintenance experience
  • Relevant trade qualifications
