Research Associate/ Senior Research Associate - Burns Care Research

We have a vacancy for a talented researcher with an interest in burn care research and the development of Core Outcome Sets to work on the COSB project (Core Outcome Sets in Burn Care Research). The aim is to achieve a minimum set of agreed outcomes for burn care research reporting in randomised controlled trials.

This is a four-year project funded by the NIHR.

You will primarily focus on the consensus process (Delphi survey) to prioritise outcomes in the long-list. This will include the development of the questionnaire, recruitment of patients and professionals from a variety of disciplines, analysing results, feeding back results in an innovative way and planning and organising consensus meetings. You will also contribute to writing papers and presenting results at workshops and conferences. The ability to work well on the telephone and in person with both patients and multi-disciplinary professionals is essential. Team working with the research team is also important.

You will have a PhD in a related discipline and a track record of research, including the Delphi process with an ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals. A willingness and ability to travel to multi-sites within the UK is essential.
