The Role

The UQ Business School is seeking Academics (Teaching and Research and Teaching Focused) to be engaged as a Lecturer/Snr Lecturer or Associate Professor in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision and further development of the School’s programs, and to undertake research of high quality.   Applicants with expertise in Financial Accounting and/or Auditing will be highly regarded.

The Person

To be successful in obtaining a Teaching and Research position, the applicant will possess a PhD or PhD thesis submitted/all but dissertation in Accounting, have a demonstrated ability to contribute to high quality teaching of Accounting and an active program of Accounting related research with a record of publications in leading national and international journals relevant to level.

To be successful in obtaining a Teaching Focused position, the applicant will possess a PhD or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience in Accounting (or in a discipline area directly related to the Accounting Discipline’s research expertise). Demonstrated successful teaching record in undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses and evidence of scholarship of teaching, including education research, teaching innovations or case study development.

Remuneration

Depending upon the level of appointment, the remuneration package will be in the range of:

• For Lecturer (Academic Level B) $92,142- $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $107,807- $128,020 p.a.).

• For Senior Lecturer (Academic Level C) $112,874 - $130,150 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $132,063 - $152,276 p.a.).

• For Associate Professor (Academic Level D) $135,909 - $149,731 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of $159,013 - $175,185 p.a.).

A market loading may be negotiated for successful applicants.
