Engineers needed - governmental organisation

Our client, a governmental organisation located in south east England, is looking for several Electronical Engineers specialized in Aerospace to complete the team.

Electrical tasks:

• Maintain the facility control and acquisition system including modifications to wiring and installation of new systems.
• Design and build of new test equipment as required to support testing programmes.
• Installation of new equipment and electrical systems to meet the expanding needs of the group as required.
• Creation and upkeep of wiring and system diagrams using computerised systems

Mechanical tasks:

• Design of racks and control panels as required meeting the expanding needs of the group.
• Manufacture of panels and racks to suit new and existing design.
• Modification of existing systems
• Assembly of jigs and fixtures as required to support the operations of the group
• Installation of cryo/vacuum systems related to a 5m diameter vacuum chamber to include thermal shroud panels, LN2 pipework, exhaust flanges

Operational tasks:

• Work within the departments ISO9000 system.
• Configure the relevant test facilities to meet the customer's needs.
• Day to day running of the testing (when needed) including extended hours / nights / weekends.

The ideal candidate must have apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent, in Engineering or related subject and must be eligible for the BPSS.

It's a 6 months contract, might be extended!
