Senior Environmental Risk Assessor - Global Brand - Paris

Are you a highly experienced Ecotoxicologist who would like to make the move to the Cosmetics Industry? I'm currently working with a global player within the cosmetics industries who are currently developing a new Environmental Toxicology department to help both the research and development team and environmental sustainability programs.

This is a highly dynamic role that focuses on technical expertise, management, and lobbying offering you a very challenging career move. The company are looking for someone who has an exceptional technical backgrouinf within Ecotoxicology with exposure to environmental fate who would like to have more of a strateguic focus. This means you will be a thought leader within the company where you can really affect positive change towards the companies environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the company within all aspects of Ecotoxicology and Environmental Fate
• Manage the environmental safety department
• Coordinate with R&D team on environmental issues
• Design appropriate testing strategies with multiple CROs
• Work with and advise Regulatory Teams
• Prepare environmental risk assessments
• Represent the companies interests at National Authorities and Professional Associations

Key Requirements:

• A minimum 10 years with Ecotoxicology/Environmental Toxicology
• A related scientific education with PhD preferred but not mandatory
• Extensive Risk Assessment experience within REACh or Pesticides
• Technical expertise within CHESAR, EUSES and running QSARs
• Proven track record of defending companies interests with National Authorities
• 1 to 2 years of line management experience
• Matrix management experience of internal and external resources
• Professional Proficiency within English with minimum conversational level of French
