Job Details
General information:
Starting time will be September 1st, 2017 (exact date can be negotiated). Full-time position. The initial contract is for 12 months, but it can be extended for few more years. The fellowship is R$ 6,819.30 (approximately 2,000.00 euros) monthly.
Candidate profile:
Ph.D. in plant biology or related field within the last three years. Knowledge and experience in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, statistics, and scientific writing are required. Although not mandatory, previous experience in biochemical and molecular analysis of nitroxidative and/or oxidative metabolisms as well as fruit physiology is desirable. Candidates should be creative and capable of developing a competitive research project while working in autonomy under the supervision of a team leader.
Tasks:
The successful candidate is expected to perform original research focused on dissecting the impacts of manipulating GSNO levels on tomato fruit physiology. The candidate will also participate in graduate student project and will supervise undergraduate students.
