Job Details

The Institute of Functional Nano and Soft Materials of Soochow University (FUNSOM, http://funsom.suda.edu.cn/, Suzhou, China), and the Printed Electronics Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (SINANO, http://www.perc-sinano.com/en/index.asp, Suzhou, China), jointly invite applications for the following postdoctoral fellowship:
Printed TFTs for Flexible Smart-Sensor Systems.
The fellowship is available for immediate appointment and is jointly embedded within the Laboratory of Molecular Optoelectronics at FUNSOM (Prof. Vincenzo PECUNIA) and the Printable Electronics Research Center at SINANO (Prof. Jianwen ZHAO). The fellowship is based on a research programme aiming to unravel the potential of solution-processible electronics for low-power real-world applications, with a focus on conjugated polymers and semiconducting carbon nanotubes.
The successful candidate will be in charge of developing a new complementary platform for smart-sensor systems. The experimental work will rely on cutting-edge facilities at both institutions, comprising high-resolution inkjet printers and state-of-the-art instrumentation for semiconductor and device characterisation.
The postdoctoral fellowship is on a fixed-term duration of 2 years in the first instance. The post holder will receive a salary of up to 300,000 RMB (≈40,000 EUR) per year depending on experience.

Requirements
We are looking for highly motivated, bright, and enthusiastic candidates with a strong background in solution-process semiconductors and transistors. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related area, and an excellent publication record. Direct experience of either inkjet printing or physical characterization of solution-processed semiconductors and devices is required. Further requirements include the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, and excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills.

Application procedure
To apply for the fellowship, please jointly contact Prof. V. Pecunia and provide the following: cover letter, curriculum vitae, list of publications, one-page statement of research interests and future plans. Full contact details of three referees are required.
Please quote reference VPJZ17PF-EUR on your application. If you upload any additional documents that have not been requested, we will not be able to consider these as part of your application.
