Job Details

Are you interested in gathering evidence of screening efficacy in the UK? Do you want to help to answer important questions regarding appropriate ways to define a high-risk population for screening? Do you have a science degree or equivalent relevant qualification (e.g. nursing)?

Funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research, the Yorkshire Lung Screening Trial (YLST) is the largest UK randomised trial of computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer.

As the Head of YLST Trial Management you are expected to act as the Trial Delivery Lead and lead the Trial Management Team of this large study. You will be responsible for the supervision and line management of trial management and data management staff working on YLST and expected to manage projects in accordance with the milestone and resources outlined in the grant application. You will manage projects with a high degree of autonomy but will be expected to highlight any critical issues for further discussion with the Trial Chief Investigators, and members of the York Trials Unit team. An up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks and legislation is essential.
