Job Details

The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s leading University. With over 6000 academic and professional staff supporting over 42,000 students, we are one of NZ’s largest employers.  We have eight academic faculties and 11 service divisions, creating a diverse, dynamic and complex organisational culture that demands excellence.

Role

An exciting new role has been developed for a highly organised recruitment administrator to join our newly established in-house Advertised Recruitment Team as a Recruitment Support Coordinator.  You will primarily be supporting the Advertised Recruitment Team in their recruitment assignments to identify and attract the very best professional and academic staff to the University of Auckland.  You will also provide support to the temporary staff services as required.

Profile

A confident communication style to engage with key stakeholders at various levels is essential to the success of this role.

You will be tertiary-qualified, with excellent Microsoft Office and database skills. Involved in a range of activities including recruitment administration and coordination, position management, responding to candidates, managing application processes, database entry, preparation of documentation and assisting with recruitment portfolio management when team members are on leave, you will have a strong attention to detail and be adept at multi-tasking!

Experience of using recruitment/CRM databases and PeopleSoft would be helpful; however, full training will be provided. You will enjoy being involved in multiple projects, working with a great team of recruitment consultants across a range of academic and professional appointments. Familiarity with the tertiary environment is not essential as long as you are curious and willing to learn and grow your knowledge.

If you take pride in producing high quality, accurate results, are able to apply a sense of urgency, be flexible, and have a good sense of humour, you will fit well with our team, and we’d be delighted to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity to work in a professional and successful team environment, where you will be rewarded with the opportunity to work for one of Auckland’s largest employers, exposure to recruiting for diverse and varied portfolios, and the benefits of professional career development opportunities.

The position is offered for a fixed term period concluding Thursday 21 December 2017.

For further information, please contact Melissa: melissa.free@auckland.ac.nz.

We will not be accepting candadates submitted by agencies at this time.

The University is committed to meeting its obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi and achieving equity outcomes for staff and students in a safe, inclusive and equitable environment.  For further information on services for Māori, Pacific, women, LGBTI, equity groups, parenting support and flexible work go to www.equity.auckland.ac.nz
