Job Details
The post holder will act as co-Director for the Reproduction and Development taught Masters programme and be jointly responsible for the delivery, development and quality of the syllabus. The programme utilises innovative distance learning technology combined with intensive face-to-face teaching workshops in Bristol. The post holder will be required to supervise, mark and exam postgraduate students, and deliver lectures and laboratory sessions relevant to their experience. The successful candidate will be required to support students learning by providing pastoral and academic support by acting as a personal tutor.
Experience of teaching students is essential, as is the ability to take a leading role in strengthening and expanding links within the School and the NHS, to deliver evidence-based pedagogy on the programme. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills with an ability to organise and prioritise their workload. Experience of innovative teaching methods e.g. distance-learning and e-learning and using Blackboard, Question mark or Turnitin software platforms is desirable. Previous experience of developing and leading postgraduate units or programmes would be an advantage.
