The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the St Lucia campus and the UQ Business School CBD Campus which allows for a wide range of specialisations or concentrations, with a high degree of relevance to employers. Programs are designed to help students with aspirations of becoming leaders in the "business and law" sectors to develop their expertise and equip them for a rewarding career.


The Faculty has the highest number of international students enrolled at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the University equating to approximately 30% of the student population. The Faculty continues to experience significant growth in this area.  International students come from all continents and regions with over 130 countries represented.

The dedicated International Services Unit manages all aspects of the Faculty's internationalisation and works closely with the Schools of Business, Economics and Law.

 

The Role

This position is responsible for the management of marketing and recruitment activities, business development and partnership linkages in the Indian Subcontinent region in support of the Faculty’s internationalisation strategy. The position will be required to develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, develop the Faculty’s international recruitment and engagement strategy for the region, and represent the Faculty at offshore international student recruitment events. This will include administrative support for the Faculty’s agreements and oversight of their operationalisation within the region. Some interstate and international travel outside of normal work hours will be required.

 

The Person

Applicants for this position should have a minimum of two years’ experience in the international education sector and hold a relevant bachelor degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You will be required to have exceptional communication and organisational skills enabling you to work independently and also within a team. International marketing and recruitment experience in the Subcontinent region (including partnership development) is essential. Applicants must have a strong customer service focus, and previous experience with an  Australian tertiary education provider would be an advantage.

 

 

Remuneration

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,883 – 89,559 plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,803 - 104,784 p.a.).
