Job Details

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Research Associate to produce a summative account of the legacy of the Connected Communities Programme in relation to its substantive contribution to knowledge about ‘community’.

The successful candidate will be required to identify the research outputs from the connected communities programme that are explicitly contributing to academic understanding of the dynamic nature of communities today. This is likely to include designing and running events to bring together participants in the Connected Communities programme and liaising with Principal Investigators, Community Partners and researchers.

This role will require the capacity to work systematically with large amounts of research literature and complex research outputs (including visual, audio-visual, material) and the ability to clearly summarise and communicate large amounts of information in academically rigorous but accessible ways. The post is supervised by Professor Keri Facer (keri.facer@bristol.ac.uk).

The post is full-time (1.0 FTE) for one year and will be based in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Bristol. The post is available from September 2017. Applications should include the names and the email addresses of two referees who can be contacted immediately if you are shortlisted.

For initial enquiries please contact Professor Keri Facer (keri.facer@bristol.ac.uk)
