Test Lead

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) is owned by the three South Australian universities (University of Adelaide, Flinders University and University of SA), Charles Darwin University, and TAFE SA. SATAC manages centralised application and admissions processes on behalf of the owners and on a fee for service basis for other institutions.

Working under general direction, the Test Lead collaboratively leads Quality Assurance processes and frameworks assisting SATAC to deliver projects and system related change with minimal negative impact. The Test Lead will be responsible for ensuring that targeted systems within SATAC are tested to a high level of quality, and will assist with the release to production process to ensure an appropriate quality regime has been applied.

Salary: (HEO6) $75,316 – $ 81,548 per annum.

Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply.

Term of position: This continuing position is available immediately. 

Position requirements

To be successful you should have: 

• Excellent communication skills in addressing both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to exercise initiative.

• Awareness of different project methodologies such as Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall.

• Understanding of the Higher Education sector within Australia and awareness of the related admissions processes.

• Experience in functional and non-functional testing, system/integration testing, regression testing, performance/load testing and UAT.

• Relational database understanding with the ability to query MS SQL databases to verify test results.

• Considerable experience with automated testing tools and automated testing strategies.

• Experience in writing and managing test strategies that includes automated and manual test execution.
