The Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences

The Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences is a strong faculty that has a coherent focus on health and well-being underpinned by a clear integrative theme related to preventative health and behaviour change.  Furthermore, the Faculty provides the opportunity for the non-medical health sciences to have a stronger voice and greater visibility within the University.

The Faculty currently includes six schools and three research centres:

  • School of Dentistry

  • School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences

  • School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences

  • School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work

  • School of Pharmacy

  • School of Psychology

  • Centre for Youth Substance Abuse Research

  • RECOVER Injury Research Centre

  • Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences

The role

The successful appointee will support the Faculty’s Academic and Student Administration projects and undertake a range of tasks that will assist with the development of solutions for improved efficiency of service delivery across the Faculty. The Project Officer will undertake a process review and analysis, liaise with professional and academic staff and identify options for the consolidation of business processes in a range of areas in consultation with the Senior Manager, Academic and Student Administration. 

The person

We are seeking candidate with a flexible approach, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability work autonomously. In addition to the completion of a relevant undergraduate degree (or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training), the applicant should possess experience in undertaking process reviews and demonstrated analytical and interpretative skills. Knowledge of student and academic administration in a tertiary setting will be highly regarded as well as experience in process redesign.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements or part time hours may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,207 - $79,964 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $81,256 - $87,561 p.a.).
