Post-doctoral positions are available at the Center of Toxins, Immune Response and Cell Signaling (CeTICS), Instituto Butantan, São Paulo, Brazil, with scholarship of Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP).


Project: "Proteomics applied to the study of signaling events triggered by snake venom proteinases".

The project will involve the use of proteomic approaches to analyze the effects of the snake venom platelet-aggregating serine proteinase PA-BJ on endothelial cells, and the determination of kinetic parameters of hydrolysis of macromolecular substrates. Applicants should have proven experience with orthogonal chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry, protein electrophoresis, Western blot, enzyme kinetics, and cell culture.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
